Each needle is created by passionate wood worker, Joe Hanes.
The journey begins with Joe collecting exotic wood from; other craftsman's trash piles, throw aways from industry, throw aways from saw mills and any other place he finds wood that others do not want, hence "RECLAIMED".
Next he cuts, sands, sands and sands again until the wood comes alive. He hand rubs the wood with a special oil, that he has blended from natural oil and essential oil of lemon. He has chosen the essential oil of Lemon because the citrus naturally cleans the wood. This type of finish is safe to everyone who knits with the needles.
Out of all of this comes the most increadible wonderful knitting needles that you have ever seen, or knitted with.
