Each needles is created by wood artisan, Joe Hanes, collecting wood from: the trash piles from other craftsman, throw away from industries, throw aways from saw mills and any other place he finds wood that others do not want,, hence "RECLAIMED".
Next he cuts, sands, sands and sands again and VOILA the wood comes alive and out of all of this comes the most increadible wonderful knitting needles that you have ever seen, or knitted with.
He hand rubs the wood with a special oil, that he has blended from natural oil and essential oil.' lemon, orange or grapefruit. These scents are particullarily chosen by Joe because the citrus naturally cleans the wood. Kim believes that these scents open up creative channels in the brain. This type of finish is purely safe to those who are knitting with the needles.
Every knitter must experience these and choose their own pair of needles from the wood that "speaks" to them..
